The Salzburg Wunderkinder had to overcome a fine effort from Rijeka pitcher Dimitrije Djokovic to win, 2-1, in 14 innings at Mozart-Stadion. Djokovic went 13.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Salzburg is second in the Allgemeine Teilung with a record of 45-42.

Salzburg won the game in the bottom of the 14th inning. With two outs and Dimitrije Djokovic on the mound for Rijeka, designated hitter Patrick Stoeckl hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Wunderkinder fans to their feet.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Stoeckl.
