Guenther Bitschi, who is tied for 8th in the OLK in wins with 13, was locked in. The right-hander led the Wien Albtraeume to a 3-2 win against the Salzburg Wunderkinder at Mozart-Stadion. Bitschi, who is tied for 9th in the OLK with a 3.21 ERA, went the distance for Wien. He gave up 2 runs on 10 hits. The Albtraeume now have a record of 49-55 with the win over Salzburg.

Wien took a 3-1 lead on Cenón González's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run, which González hit in the top of the seventh, left Salzburg pitcher Thomas Dopfer visibly frustrated.

"When you win, you always have confidence," said Wien skipper Antonio Padilla. "Nobody likes to lose. Losing is a downer. That's how we look at it. It's always good to win."
