The Munich Schaeffler earned a close win over the Leipzig Kaufmaenner, thanks in part to Erasmus Flemming. The Munich right-hander played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Flemming went the distance for Munich. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. At 48-63, the Schaeffler find themselves in 6th place in the Allgemeine Teilung.

Had Segfried Goldsmith not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Goldsmith hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Schaeffler.
