The Rijeka Torpeda topped the Venezia Mascherati, 7-3, with youngster Riordan MacCawis playing a key role. MacCawis went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Torpeda in the win. Asim Pejovic was the winner. He's now 8-16. The loser was 26-year old left-handed pitcher Sal Mastroianni. With the win over Venezia, the Torpeda improved to 55-59.

MacCawis had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 3-1 curveball from Sal Mastroianni, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Torpeda a 4-2 lead. It was the 11th double of the year for MacCawis.

MacCawis attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
