Rijeka Wins, 6-5, Over Wunderkinder

The Rijeka Torpeda picked up a win at Jadransko Stadion, topping the Salzburg Wunderkinder, 6-5. On the mound for Rijeka was left-hander Asim Pejovic. He played a principal role in the triumph. Rijeka occupies last place in the Allgemeine Teilung at 54-68.
Rijeka took a 6-5 lead on Misa Uskokovic's 14th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Uskokovic hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Salzburg pitcher Werner Metternich visibly frustrated.
Said Rijeka manager Albán Zamora: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
