Regensburg Carves Out 13-8 Win
The Regensburg Zusteller beat the Bolzano Dolomiti, 13-8, at Stadio degli Dolomiti. The win was due in part to catcher Jacques Boehmer, who was 3-5 with a triple and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Endres Wodarg picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-2. Pasqualino Catenacci, who is tied for 2nd in the WLK in holds with 2, was tagged with the loss. At 47-81, the Zusteller claim last place in the Allgemeine Teilung.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the ninth, with the game tied, Frank Schumacher was at the plate when Regensburg scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Zusteller to go in front, 9-8.

"If you were looking for a pitchers' duel," said Schumacher, "this wasn't it."
