Takasaki pitcher Luis González had a large part in his team subduing the Sabae Megane-ten, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Sabae falls to 11-4.

The Megane-ten had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Sakura going into the bottom of the eighth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old first baseman Martín Díaz came to the plate. Díaz hit a 2-run double on a 2-2 changeup from Sabae hurler Hikaru Hyuga. It was Díaz's 2nd double of the year.
