Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Kodaibito
The Kamakura Kodaibito and Fukushima Kamome played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

The Kamakura Kodaibito racked up a win at Kodaibito Park, bumping off the Fukushima Kamome, 3-1. Aaron Allan, who started for Kamakura, pitched effectively for his team. Allan got the win, improving to 3-2. He gave up 8 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. He allowed 1 run.

The Kamome had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Kodaibito going into the bottom of the eighth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old catcher Gregor Munro came to the plate. Munro hit a 2-run double on a 2-1 cutter from Fukushima hurler Den Yamada. It was Munro's 3rd double of the year.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Kamakura manager Álvaro López.

The win puts Kamakura at 10-17.
