Teitoku Post 4-1 Win

Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Seki Katanakaji take on the Kagoshima Teitoku.
The Kagoshima Teitoku went home winners at Katanakaji Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Yeijiro Kawaguchi. Kawaguchi stifled the Seki Katanakaji, enabling Kagoshima to grab the 4-1 win. Kawaguchi, now 2-4, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 1 run.
Kagoshima used the clutch hitting of Tadataka Azuma to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Teitoku the lead, 3-1. For the game, Azuma had 2 singles and 2 doubles in 5 at-bats.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Kawaguchi told a Kagoshima Observer reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
The defeat makes Seki 12-15.
