Sabae Carves Out 5-2 Win
The Sabae Megane-ten racked up a win at Megane-ten Grounds, bumping off the Aomori Hotaru, 5-2. Hikaru Hyuga, who started for Sabae, pitched effectively for his team. Masahiro Kono picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-1. Atsuhiro Shimabukuro, who is tied for 7th in the NL with a 1.37 WHIP, was tagged with the loss. The first-place Hotaru dropped to 54-36.

Troilo Andrade had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth for the Megane-ten. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Sabae trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.

"I always try to stay as positive and as mentally strong as possible because I know how crazy this game can be," said Hyuga.
