Big Day for Sasamoto in 12-5 Kodaibito Win
Kodaibito second baseman Masahiro Sasamoto left his mark on his team's 12-5 win over the Hakodate Daiouika. Sasamoto, who is tied for 9th in the NL in stolen bases with 7, was 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2 for Kamakura in the contest. The last-place Daiouika dropped to 18-33.

With Kamakura leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Sasamoto hit a splitter from Tokuei Aida for a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Kodaibito ahead, 3-0.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Sasamoto.
