The Niigata Hakuchoh got a sterling performance from first baseman Hisafumi Kitagawa, but the Kamakura Kodaibito still prevailed, 9-8. Kitagawa went 3 for 3 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. The 'W' lifts Kamakura's record to 22-34.

The two teams entertained the Kodaibito Park crowd with some good baseball.

"Both teams had plenty of clutch hits," said Shimoda. "It made for an exciting game."
