Hirayama Excels in 13-5 Seki Win
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Nagasaki Kamo take on the Seki Katanakaji.

The Seki Katanakaji stopped the Nagasaki Kamo, 13-5, behind an impressive performance from Ryo Hirayama. The 24-year old right fielder made life miserable for Nagasaki pitching. He went 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 4 runs. Seki, now 31-26, holds down third place in the Southern League.

Third Baseman Morgan Hickman made an impact for Seki, when he swatted a 2-run double off Nick Maddox in the top of the fourth. For the contest, Hickman was 2-5 with a double, while adding 3 RBI.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Hickman. "And not try to do too much."
