Hakuchoh Get Hard-Earned Win
|
Niigata Hakuchoh starter Mateo Giménez turned in a top-notch performance against the Morioka Ayame at Ayame Park. The result was a win for the Hakuchoh, 2-1. The Hakuchoh saw their record improve to 37-23.
Niigata used the timely hitting of Ko Takashima to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hakuchoh on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"I was able to miss barrels for the most part and the guys behind me made plays," said Giménez.
