The Guatire Heroes topped the Cumana Atunes, 6-3, in Liga Este action at Estadio de Guatire. The standout performance belonged to Guatire pitcher and Carolina, Puerto Rico, native Fernando Chávez. The winner was Chávez. He threw 6.1 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was Fulco García. At 27-63, the Heroes find themselves in last place in the Liga Este.
Guatire took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Bolívar Carapito stroked a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Heroes.
