Seki and Kagoshima got after it at Katanakaji Stadium.
Quilvio Argueta, who is tied for 2nd in the SL in wins with 11, propelled his team to victory over the Kagoshima Teitoku. The final score was 7-2, Seki. The winning pitcher was Argueta, now 11-6. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 3.
Alarico Moreno had a big 2-run double for the Katanakaji in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Seki leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 34-year old right-handed pitcher Desiderio Pérez and swatted a double to left. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Katanakaji ahead, 5-2.
"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Moreno told the Seki Gazette. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
The third-place Katanakaji sport a record of 37-31.
