Crepusculares Pull Off Thrilling 4-1 Win in Extras
The Barquisimeto Crepusculares in 16 innings beat the Coro Bizantinos, 4-1, at Estadio de Coro. Starting pitcher Mateus Balieiro was a major factor, holding his opponents in check all game. Picking up the save was 21-year old left-handed pitcher Eugenio Núñez. Barquisimeto is now 31-29.

Balieiro went the distance -- and then some -- for the Crepusculares, throwing 11 innings of 8-hit ball against the Bizantinos, striking out 1.

"I thought we played a nice game," Balieiro told the Barquisimeto Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
