Aomori Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Aomori Hotaru took Morioka pitcher Jesús Hernández's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Aomori Grounds. The final score had Aomori getting past the Ayame, 3-2. Hernández went 8.2 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 2. The win belonged to Mitsuhiro Kawakami in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Jesús Hernández took the loss for Morioka. The Hotaru raised their record to 31-37.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Aomori pinch hitter Kokei Nomura, facing Jesús Hernández, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Hotaru the 3-2 win.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Nomura. "You've got to get results."
