The Aomori Hotaru and Kamakura Kodaibito put on quite a show.

The Aomori Hotaru did just enough to nip the Kamakura Kodaibito, 6-5, in 16 innings. Aomori pitcher Melquíades Nazario, in particular, had a standout performance. Aomori's winning streak has reached 4 games.

Aomori used the timely hitting of Tommy Clarke to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 16th inning to put the Hotaru on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Hotaru manager Eliseo Apodaca.
