Cumana pitcher Konan Wray did his part in helping his team beat the Caracas Sultanes, 6-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Wray, now 11-4, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 1, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Cumana now has a record of 37-27 with the win.
Nikita de Hoog chipped in for Cumana, stroking a crucial run-scoring double in the bottom of the eighth inning. For the game, the third baseman was 2-4 with a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2.
