Fukushima Triumphs with Late Surge
The rain came, as predicted, but the Fukushima Kamome and Morioka Ayame were able to complete their ballgame.

Fukushima Kamome starter Nathan Chatwin pitched well against the Morioka Ayame at Kamome Ballpark, leading his team to a win, 4-2. Fukushima is in 6th place in the Northern League with a record of 33-44.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Chiaki Matsubara came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Morioka pitcher Naomichi Hattori, he hit a 0-2 curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Fukushima on top, 2-1.

Fukushima manager Belerofonte Bernal called it "a pretty good win."
