The Guatire Heroes welcomed the Caracas Sultanes to an night game at Estadio de Guatire.

Guatire Heroes starter Fernando Chávez kept the Caracas Sultanes hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. Próspero Beltrán, who finished 4th in the LE in innings pitched with 287.2 in 1907, earned the save for Guatire.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the third. That's when Heroes second baseman Juan Fernández hit a sinker from Alfonso Nava for a 2-run single. Just like that, Guatire was up, 2-1.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Chávez.

The last-place Heroes improved to 39-70.
