Seki Katanakaji starter Quilvio Argueta pitched well against the Kumamoto Kuma at Kuma Stadium, leading his team to a win, 7-0. The Katanakaji raised their record to 40-39.

Seki used a well-timed hit by Alarico Moreno to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Katanakaji ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Winning never gets old," said Moreno.
