At Kuma Stadium, the Kumamoto Kuma and Yamatokoriyama Kingyo were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Yamatokoriyama Kingyo picked up a win at Kuma Stadium, knocking off the Kumamoto Kuma, 5-1. Starting pitcher Gilberto Ramos was a big reason why. Ramos, now 5-3, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 1 run.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Syd Smith? The Yamatokoriyama catcher had a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put the Kingyo on top, 2-0. For the game, Smith had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
