The Kamakura Kodaibito beat the Hakodate Daiouika, 2-1, at Daiouika Park. Starting pitcher Roger Los was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. In 9.1 innings, Los surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Felipe Valdés wrapped it up, recording his 5th save.
The result might have been different for Kamakura, had it not been for Sadao Kuroki. The right fielder produced a run-scoring ground out in the top of the tenth inning to put the Kodaibito ahead, 2-1. For the game, Kuroki had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Roger gave us everything he had," said Kamakura manager Ernesto Pérez.
With the victory, the Kodaibito record stands at 34-52.
