The rain came, as predicted, but the Hakodate Daiouika and Sabae Megane-ten were able to complete their ballgame.

The Hakodate Daiouika had to overcome a big game from Sabae designated hitter Ultan Boyle to leave Megane-ten Grounds with a victory. And they did, winning, 14-7. Boyle went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Hakodate pitcher Kotaro Kawamura earned the win, hiking his record to 5-2. Shingo Wakayama suffered the loss.

Hakodate used a timely hit from Yoshimitsu Kodama to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Daiouika ahead, 9-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Hakodate skipper Leon Pierce.

At 39-56, Hakodate is in last place in the Northern League.
