The Seki Katanakaji downed the Nagasaki Kamo, 6-4, in 10 innings at Katanakaji Stadium. Frank LaPorte led the way, going 4-for-5 for Seki. Seki is now 49-53, Nagasaki 53-48.

Seki got a game-changing hit from Bob Caruthers. The first baseman blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a winner.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Katanakaji manager Darío Mora.
