Komori Walk It Off for 51st Win of Season
The Fukuyama Komori did just enough to sneak past the Seki Katanakaji, 4-3, at Fukuyama Grounds. Fukuyama pitcher Issui Hosaka, in particular, had a standout performance. The 7th-place Komori have a record of 51-61.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Shigekazu Yoshida wanted to seize the moment and deliver a clutch hit. Seki pitcher Yasugi Shiraki had other ideas. He wanted to end the Fukuyama rally. What happened next? With one out, Yoshida drew a walk, driving in 1 run -- and the Komori erupted in celebration.

"We'll pocket this win," said Hosaka, "and then go after another."
