The umbrellas came out during the Fukushima-Kamakura contest at Kodaibito Park.
The Fukushima Kamome eked out a 3-2 win versus the Kamakura Kodaibito at Kodaibito Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Nathan Chatwin. He was terrific. The setback makes Kamakura 52-69.
Fukushima used a well-timed hit by Dacio López to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Kamome ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Ernesto Pérez.
