The Puerto La Cruz Timoneles and Cumana Atunes completed their game despite the rain.

The inspired effort of Cumana left fielder Daniel Reyes was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-4, to the Puerto La Cruz Timoneles. Reyes was 4 for 5 with 2 triples and 2 singles. Raúl Santiago snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-2 on the season. Gedeón Martínez suffered the loss.

In the bottom of the ninth, Matías Servín stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Atunes were trailing 6-4, but had the bases loaded. That's when Martín Saldaña made a terrific pitch and Servín flied out. Gone was the dream of a Cumana comeback.

The triumph puts Puerto La Cruz at 71-46 for the season.
