The Maracay Jardineros beat the Valencia Industriales, 6-4, at Campo de Valencia. The Jardineros got a fine performance from first baseman Nicanor Gámez, who was 3-4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The winning pitcher was Julio Berrones. His record now stands at 18-15. The left-hander went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 12 hits for the Jardineros.
