Starting Pitcher Samuel Marshall was lights out, as the Angostura Amargados beat the Puerto La Cruz Timoneles, 8-1. The third-place Amargados have won 4 straight games.

Cristino Herrera had a big bases-clearing triple for the Amargados in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Angostura leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 36-year old right-handed pitcher Raúl Santiago and swatted a triple to right. It was his 19th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Amargados ahead, 5-1.

"I was determined to go the distance," said Marshall.
