The Angostura Amargados picked up a win at Campo de los Petroleros, dropping the Maturin Petroleros, 4-3. Medardo Crosby, who finished 5th in the LE in ERA with 3.63 last year, was the difference-maker. Angostura bumps their record to 76-55 with the win.

Had Nicky Gordon not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Gordon hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Amargados.

"It never gets old," said Gordon. "Winning, that is."
