Fukushima Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2
The Fukushima Kamome have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Kumamoto Kuma, winning, 8-5, at Kamome Ballpark. Kamome right fielder Harry Niles went 2-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win cuts the deficit facing the Kamome to 3-2 in the best-of-7 Japan Series.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the sixth. That's when Niles hit a bases-clearing double off Tokutomi Sakai. It propelled the Kamome into the lead, 5-4.

Niles told the Fukushima Bulletin: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."

The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, September 2nd , 1913 at Kuma Stadium in Kumamoto.
