Road Win Lifts Taos to 2-1 Lead in PCS
|
Tempe had trouble with Taos starter Ramón Pagán, who frustrated Olympians hitters, as the Artists cruised to victory, 7-1, in Game 3 of the Pennant Championship Series. The Artists now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series, thanks in large part to the right-handed Pagán, who controlled Tempe throughout the contest and threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball.
Pagán was in the zone, shutting down Tempe hitters over 8 innings. Pagán, who threw 129 pitches, allowed 1 run on 4 hits. He also tallied 5 punchouts.
"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Pagán.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Olympians Ballpark in Tempe.
