Olympians Advance to Championship of the Frontier
When the entire season comes down to one game, Servio González said you find out what a team is really about.

As it turns out, the Tempe Olympians are made of fight and tenacity, as the team got by the Taos Artists 8-4 tonight at Taos Grounds in order to win the Pennant Championship Series and book a place in the next round.

"It wasn't hard to get excited for this game," said González, whose strong offensive output earned him MVP honors. "Our guys answered the call and proved a lot about what our team is all about."

González hit .304 with a .407 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 11 RBI and scored 6 runs.

The Tempe Olympians will play against the Waco Mammoths in the next round. Waco won their series against the Beaumont Alpinists 4 games to 3. The Championship of the Frontier schedule will be announced after the Pennant Championship Series finishes.
