Bangor Win Evens Series at 1
|
The Bangor Bishops took down the Derby Rams by the score of 6-3 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Baseball Federation Series. The largest share of the credit belongs to Bangor starter Ricardo Márquez, who threw 8.2 innings of 7-hit ball.
In the bottom of the 4th, Bangor took the lead on a 3-run home run by Enrique Facio. At the time, the Bishops were trailing 3-1, but Facio's hit with two outs against Derby pitcher Marcos Flores put them in front, 4-3.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Facio told the Bangor Times. "It's as simple as that."
The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, September 2nd , 1913 at Derby Stadium in Derby.
