Manchester Moves on to Championship of New England
|
The Manchester Gamblers made it look easy and are heading to the Championship of New England.
They have ousted the Auburn Cordwainers in a sweep, the final win coming by a 3-1 score, clinching the 4-0 series win.
"Everything's clicking for us right now," said Belerofón Escobar, who was named MVP for the series.
Escobar hit .467 with a .500 on-base percentage. He added 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Manchester Gamblers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Newport Pilot Whales - Griswold Vampires series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Championship of New England schedule will be announced after the Pennant Championship Series finishes.
