San Antonio de los Banos Holds at Home in Series Opener
The San Antonio de los Banos Comediantes faced a tough opponent in Mayabeque Alacranes pitcher Zacarías Jiménez, but did just enough to pull out a win in Game 1 of the Campeonato Interdivisional, which they now lead 1-0. The Comediantes won, 6-5, at Estadio de San Antonio, despite the Alacranes getting a strong start from right-hander Jiménez, who went 8 innings and allowed 6 runs.

An inflection point occurred with two out in the bottom of the seventh. That's when Comediantes first baseman Felipe López hit a circle change from Zacarías Jiménez for a 2-run single. Just like that, San Antonio de los Banos was up, 6-5.

"Good win for us," said López. "Now we'll focus on the next one."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Estadio de San Antonio in San Antonio de los Baños.
