When the stakes were high, Roberto Zúñiga raised his game to match.

The left-handed Zúñiga turned in a stellar performance in Game 3 of the League Championship Series, pitching a 9-inning, complete-game shutout to lead the Moose Jaw Rum Runners to victory. He allowed 3 hits and struck out 8. The win gave Moose Jaw a 2-1 lead over the Brandon Threshers in the best-of-7 series.

Zúñiga, a native of Villalba, Puerto Rico, was dealing all game. He kept Brandon hitters off-balance, while giving the Rum Runners 9 quality innings. Zúñiga threw 107 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 8.

Zúñiga attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Threshers Park in Brandon.
