Still Kicking: Holguin Cut Las Tunas Series Lead to 3-1 With Late Win
The Holguin Pericos defeated the Las Tunas Escultores, 4-3, in 13 innings in Game 4 of the Campeonato de las Ligas. Making an impact was first baseman Rolando Pérez, who went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. The win narrows Holguin's deficit in the series to 3-1.

Bonifacio Sánchez, who finished 4th in the TORI in triples with 17 in 1913, had a direct impact on the outcome. Sánchez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put Holguin up, 4-3.

"It was a test of wills," said Alcides Hernández, the Holguin skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Estadio de los Escultores in Las Tunas.
