Ciudadanos Heading to Campeonato Veraniego de Principiantes

The Campeonato de las Ligas may not have lived up to the expectation that it would be a dogfight that would go the distance. The San Juan Ciudadanos, however, are not complaining.
The Ciudadanos were plenty happy to have wrapped up the series early and to have knocked out the Aguada Catecumenes to advance to the Campeonato Veraniego de Principiantes.
San Juan won the final game by a 3-1 count at Parquecito de San Juan and the series 3-1.
Ciudadanos first baseman Adrián Camacho was named series MVP, as he hit .467 with a .500 on-base percentage. He added 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs.
"It's not going to be the last time Aguada makes it to the playoffs, so it's sure a nice feeling to put them out this year," Camacho said. "We just need to keep this going and take it day by day."
The San Juan Ciudadanos don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Loiza Pleneros - Guayama Aprendices series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Campeonato Veraniego de Principiantes schedule will be announced after the Campeonato de las Ligas finishes.
