Sultanes Rally to Eke Out Win
The Caracas Sultanes racked up a win at Campo Capitolino, bumping off the Angostura Amargados, 2-1, in 13 innings. Víctor Hugo García, who started for Caracas, pitched effectively for his team. García got the win, improving to 7-16. He gave up 10 hits and walked 1 over 13 innings. He allowed 1 run. With the win, Caracas goes to 46-49, while the Amargados fall to 50-44.

In the bottom of the 13th, Enrique Delgado delivered the big blow for Caracas, stroking a game-winning run-scoring single off Angostura pitcher Leenan King.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Símaco González, the Caracas skipper.
