Leopardos Saddle Rojos with 7-2 Loss
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Leopardos beat the Rojos.

The Santa Clara Leopardos picked up a win at Estadio de Santa Clara, topping the Artemisa Rojos, 7-2. On the mound for Santa Clara was left-hander Jason Dowdy. He played a principal role in the triumph. Dowdy, now 3-1, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs.

The Leopardos got a big at-bat from left fielder Brock O'Connell. For the game, O'Connell was 1-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Santa Clara a 3-1 lead.

Said Artemisa manager Gustavo Peña: "They did a lot of things right. We did a lot of things wrong."
