Nueva Gerona Defeated by Artemisa, 4-2

The Artemisa Rojos and Nueva Gerona Marmoleros completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Artemisa Rojos picked up a win at Campo de Artemisa, knocking off the Nueva Gerona Marmoleros, 4-2. On the mound for Artemisa was right-hander Ramón Contreras. He played a key role in the triumph. Stuart Boyle earned the save for Artemisa, his 2nd of the year.
Luis González dealt the Marmoleros a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Artemisa leading 2-1, González hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single.
"Ramón may be green behind the ears," said Rojos manager Ramón de León. "But he's quickly learning how to contribute."
Artemisa goes to 8-7.
