The Santa Clara Leopardos beat the San Antonio de los Banos Comediantes, 8-3. Santa Clara pitcher and Camajuaní, Cuba, native Martín Morales led the way. With the loss, San Antonio de los Banos is 14-10.

Santa Clara second baseman Eufemio Hernández contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a sinker to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 27th hit of the season and put the Leopardos ahead, 3-1.

"Martín did a nice job," said Leopardos manager Jorge Santana.
