The Holguin Pericos got a sterling performance from pitcher Gonzalo García, but the Bayamo Rafagas still prevailed, 7-5. García threw 7.2 innings allowing 1 run. The victory makes Bayamo 11-13.

Bayamo relied on the hitting of Evaristo Flores to pick up the win. The third baseman ripped a bases-clearing triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rafagas on top, 6-5. For the game, Flores had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"To get where we want to as a team, we all have to do things out of our comfort zone," Flores told the Bayamo Herald.
