McDougall Stars in 6-1 Cienfuegos Win
Benjamin McDougall was nothing short of phenomenal for the Cienfuegos Elefantes. The 33-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the Santa Clara Leopardos, 6-1. The Leopardos drop to 14-14 and continue their mediocre start to the 1908 season.

McDougall, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited effort. The hurler struck out 6 in 9 innings and gave up 1 run.

McDougall, who is tied for 2nd in the TOCC in strikeouts with 31, moves to 2-3 on the year with 31 strikeouts.

"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Jorge Santana. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
