It was a smooth and solid performance by Scannell Taylor of the Holguin Pericos against the Las Tunas Escultores. He crafted a fine 4-hitter to blank the Escultores, 2-0. He chalked up 5 strikeouts and 2 walks along the way.
"It certainly makes my job easy when my pitcher tosses a shutout," said Holguin skipper Alcides Hernández. "I can just sit back, watch and enjoy."
