Extra-Inning Win by Martenos Over Rafagas
The Bayamo Rafagas could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Abdón Farías into a win. Instead, the Manzanillo Martenos prevailed, 5-4. Farías threw 9.2 innings allowing 4 runs. Héctor Castro played the role of hero for Manzanillo. In the bottom of the 13th, he launched a solo home run off Normando Fraire to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.
