McDougall Stops Santa Clara
Before the game, Benjamin McDougall said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Estadio de los Elefantes, the Elefantes pitcher blanked the Santa Clara Leopardos, 3-0.

"I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," McDougall said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my cutter even when I was behind in the count."

The Cienfuegos starter held Santa Clara scoreless, giving up 4 hits while registering 4 strikeouts and issuing 1 walk.

"We didn't have very many good at-bats," Leopardos manager Jorge Santana said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."

Over the season McDougall has thrown 66.1 innings and dished out 41 strikeouts with a 4-3 mark and a 2.31 ERA.
